Instructor Bio: | I grew up in Dorchester and then moved to Sackville where I still live. I come from a long line of makers and learned to sew, knit and crochet from my maternal grandmother by the time I was 5 years old. When I retired, I rewarded myself with an embroidery/sewing machine. Unfortunately, there were no classes available in the area at the time and so I had to learn from my machine manual and the internet. Because of that, I want to share what I know about quilting and embroidery with others, so they don't feel that they are going it alone. I try to make my classes fun and I try to help people relax and become proficient with their machines and quilting tools. Every time we look at a new teaching season and new classes, I get excited about quilting and machine embroidery all over again. I love finding new things, new twists on old ideas and new tools to present to our students. |
